How do you change the water pump in a 2002 chevrolet trailblazer?

my trailblazer is making alot of noise i took it to a mechanic and he said my water pump is wore out and he said if i dont get it fixed fast i will blow my motor so me and my dad tried to get it out and we couldnt anyone have any suggestions? How do you change the water pump in a 2002 chevrolet trailblazer?First thing's first drain the coolant, then remove the fan shroud- and remember to disconnect the connector for the fan clutch, remove the fan- be very careful not to hit the radiator with the clutch because it will put a hole in it very quickly! you need a holding tool to hold the water pump pulley still while you remove the nuts from the water pump pulley- then take the pulley off, then the water pump, i think there are 5 bolts holding it in, then reverse the procedure to reinstall it all! good luck! How do you change the water pump in a 2002 chevrolet trailblazer? The Special tools involve require you to either buy them, rent them or make an appointment with your local wrench and get it done by a pro.
