1988 Honda Civic - How do you change the water pump?

There just isn't any room to work! Any ideas?1988 Honda Civic - How do you change the water pump?Take Front left wheel out, remove wheel guard, crank pulley, all drive belts out. Then supper engine with jack from bottom, remove front left engine mount out, align timing belt to TDC, then take it out. At this time you should have about 4%26quot; space between the water pump. You just take out the mounting bolts, and install new water pump with new gasket.



They are torqued very light, and over torquing the bolts would prevent the water pump from spinning.1988 Honda Civic - How do you change the water pump?You could disconnect the driver side motor mount and raise the engine up enough to give you more clearance to work on it.
