How does it cost to change a water pump? Is it an easy fix?

1997 Saturn SL2-automaticHow does it cost to change a water pump? Is it an easy fix?We just did one the other day. Parts and labor at a shop figure just under 300 dollars. It's on the side of the engine, loosen the bolts that hold the pulley on, remove the serpentine belt and then take the pulley bolts the rest of the way off. Remove all the small bolts that go around the water pump, slide it out, clean the engine surface, re-install. Takes all of about an hour and a half.
