Is it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt?

The pump itself isn't that expensive, its the labor for all the work getting to it. Just do it now and save yourself money later. Is it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt? No, but it's recommended. Is it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt?no its not mandatory I would definitly if the car has over 60kIs it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt? No, but in many models htey have to remove it to get to the belt so they usually sugget replacing it.Is it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt?if you have more than a hundred thousand miles on the vehicle it is recommended to change it since it will probably cost you almost the same amount in labor to replace it so you might as well change itIs it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt?no but it would be a bad idea not too. if a shop is doing it they will probably charge the same rate to do it all over again if the pump goes 6 months later. if youre doing it yourself thats a huge pain in the *** to go through twice. Is it Mandatory to Change the Water Pump when changing the timing belt?It is not mandatory but I would strongly recommend it becuase it is very common for water pumps to leak on accords after 100k miles, and once the timing and balance shaft belts are off it is only a few more bolts to change it. Most shops usually will charge between .3 and .5 hours extra to change it which is worth it because it is common for them to leak. The other thing I would recommend is going with an oem water pump. There are many cheap remanufactured pumps that often don't last very long, where the honda water pumps will, and their usually not that much more expensive either.
