I have a jeep cherokee that is leaking water. I can see where it leaks, right at the water pump. When the water pumps leaks, replace it. Buy the new gasket and new glue for it as well.
Also good idea to replace the coolant. Go ahead and replace the thermastat as well, since we are going into the winter season. Plus it helps eliminate the fear of the car messing up again in the near future, causing the consumer to complain about the mechanic.
When the water pump goes, its usually due to rottening, just like the thermastat. Same car, same heating system, yeah, they go neck to neck. Replace both of them and relieve yourself of future problems that usually take place within a months time apart.
