Do u need to remove the timing belt to change the water pump on a 98 eclipse spyder gs?

yes you do. Also since you have to remove it you really should replace the timing belt, and put an auto tensioner on because I will guarantee if you don't the timing will never stay. This is not a job for a backyard mechanic with no prior knowledge of the way to line up TDC (top dead center), or the proper tools.Do u need to remove the timing belt to change the water pump on a 98 eclipse spyder gs?shouldnt water pump on outside of motor timing belt on inside

wil have to remove belts or drive belts which are not the same thingsDo u need to remove the timing belt to change the water pump on a 98 eclipse spyder gs?Yes. BUY a manual.Do u need to remove the timing belt to change the water pump on a 98 eclipse spyder gs?Best bet is to have a Mitsubishi Master Tech do the work for you. Playing mechanic on this job will no doubt end up with bent intake valves.
