I need to know how much the average mechanic would charge to change a water pump.How much to change a water pump on a 97 Mustang?probly arowned 250-350. the water pump is located in the front of the engine so it is decently easy to get to. at a shop they will charge you about $100/hHow much to change a water pump on a 97 Mustang?your probably looking at 200-300 dollars its a decently easy repair though so im not sure
